Missing Teeth? There Are Options!
Having a missing tooth or missing teeth can have a huge impact on your quality of life. Whether you’re an older teen, a student, or a working professional – missing a tooth can ruin your self-confidence. Even if you aren’t in a hurry to replace missing teeth, there are health reasons to do so as well. Missing teeth can weaken your jaw, cause your teeth to shift or try to fill in gaps causing other dental issues, and make you more susceptible to dental and gum infections. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be that way!
Dr. Viviana Waich is skilled at turning teeth you want to hide into a smile you want to share with the world. Here are just a few options for missing teeth in North Miami Beach, FL.
Single Dental Implants
If you are missing just one tooth, or maybe you have one tooth that you need to have extracted, a single-tooth implant may be the best option. This procedure will start with an initial consult and x-rays or imaging. Dr. Viviana Waich will then determine if you are a good candidate for a single-tooth implant.
Full Arch or All-On-4
A full arch (sometimes referred to as all-on-4) means you want to replace more than one missing tooth. This can be as much as a full mouth. All-On-4 dental implants are placed the same way as a single implant but usually require more appointments. You may also need a dental bridge or crown to complete this procedure.
Dentures
A tried and true option for those suffering from missing teeth is dentures. Most, or all, teeth will need to be extracted for dentures, but the end result will leave you with a smile you can be proud of. For some, patients may opt for dentures while they wait for the budget or the time to pursue other cosmetic options – like dental implants or a bridge.
Bridges
Dental bridges are an excellent option for replacing missing teeth. A bridge consists of dental crowns that fit on either side of your missing teeth and then artificial teeth that fill in the space in between. If you are missing two or more teeth, this may be the best choice for your comfort and appearance.
